Maintenance Coordinator

Job Description

Whitemud Resources is looking for a trustworthy Maintenance Coordinator to take charge of our team and provide supervision, guidance, and training to all new and existing crew members. The Maintenance Coordinator responsibilities include developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing service providers and in-house maintenance personnel, identifying and performing regular inspections of equipment and supplies, and diagnosing and repairing any faults on machinery.

To be successful as a maintenance lead, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and be able to think on your feet. You should be able to motivate workers under your supervision and constantly be looking for ways to innovate old methods and practices.

Responsibilities:



Performing maintenance tasks in their specialty or delegating maintenance tasks to the rest of the team, and finding relevant vendors and service providers and managing contracted service providers Developing maintenance plans and implementing them Identifying critical and non-critical spares Meeting quality control standards for all work and record keeping activities Ensuring supplies, material and spare part inventories meet the facility reliability requirements Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required Updating maintenance logs for all machinery Establishing protocols for non-mechanical maintenance Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement

Requirements:



Journeyperson level proficiency in a recognized trade (mechanical, millwright, electrician) or accreditation in a relevant profession (Engineering Technologist, Professional Engineer) Experience managing third party service providers Relevant licenses and certificates (welder, millwright, electrical) are desirable Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, control systems and blueprint reading would be advantageous Repair work experience in an industrial setting involving heavy equipment including conveyors, crushers, rotary mills, fired equipment, plant control systems etc. Excellent customer service and negotiation skills Leadership experience within a team environment including direct supervision of other trades Proficiency with Excel, Word and Preventative Maintenance Management software system

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
