Overview


We are seeking

Machinist Apprentice

and a skilled and detail-oriented

Machinist

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to work with precision tools and machinery. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and modifying parts according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Prerequisites:



Grade 12 high school diploma for and Minimum 5 years of experience in custom tooling and machinery manufacturing or equivalent environment for .

Preference will be given to candidates proficient in computer aided manufacturing (CAM), however the position shall not be limited to strictly computer literate individuals. Internal training would be required and provided as needed.

Good verbal and written communication skills

The position of

Machinist Apprentice

must be able and willing to perform the following:

This position will be directed by the Production Manager and/or Charge Hand

Must be willing to learn all standard machine shop equipment. CNC mill, CNC lathe, surface grinder, cylindrical grinder, manual lathe, manual mill with DRO, band saw etc.

Interpret customer and internal supplied prints and sketches with training

Logically plan and monitor assigned project completion.

Create NC code for manufacturing with the aid of CAM software with training

In some cases, interact with customer throughout a project to ensure that the manufacturing meets the customer's requirements and that delivery is met.

Produce reports relative to projects.

Travel to the customer's if required.

Interact and share ideas and work with fellow employees to ensure on time delivery and quality product.

Maintain a history CNC files produced during a project with training

Interact directly with engineering as required, prior to and during design and build to assist in manufacturing capability analysis, and troubleshooting.

The position of

Pay: $17.22-$33.32 per hour
