Job Summary

We are seeking a apprentice Machinist to join our growing team. This will be a learning position where you will be able to grow into this trade and see the variety of work that can be done in this field. We are looking for people who are wanting a long term career with stability and room to expand their skill sets beyond that of being operators. This role involves fabricating and machining components to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

Operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Perform setups and adjustments on machines to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions of finished products. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery. Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation is essential. Familiarity with CAM software for CNC Programming. Ability to fabricate parts from raw materials using various machining techniques. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $22.00-$33.00 per hour
