Our client in Concord is a world leader in the supply of products for the manufacturing of corrugated plastic pipe. Their products are used in fluid and process applications in end markets such as: industrial, medical, automotive and agriculture.

Location: Concord, ON (Hwy 7/Creditstone Rd)

Days 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Afternoons 4:00 pm to 12 am

Pay: up to $35/hr. (based on experience)

Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Machine Builder/Assembler who will be responsible for
assembly and testing of custom machinery for the plastic industry, while ensuring
quality and the ability to meet production requirements. You must have some
experience working with your hands and assembling machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring/ validating the completed components.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer\'s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a machine assembler and/or mechanic and/or possess millwright license.
• Experience with CNC lathe, milling machines and drill presses.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools.
• Experience with machine shop equipment and mechanical systems.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes and experience with industrial machine build/repair.
• Understanding of basic electrical systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving techniques.
• Require his or her own tools.
• Lift truck and crane operation an asset.
