What you'll do:
Reporting to the Building Materials Manager, the successful candidate will possess strong work ethics, superior customer service and organizational skills, keeping in mind the responsibility to maintain a safe and healthy environment for themselves, their team, and our members/customers.
Duties will include:
The successful candidate will be required to safely operate mechanical forklifts and designate delivery vehicles as part of daily tasks. This includes adhering to all relevant safety protocols and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
This position involves the physical handling, lifting, and relocation of building materials and other store items within the yard and store premises. The successful candidate should be prepared for regular manual labor to support operational needs.
Providing support and assistance to both customers and team members is a key aspect of this role. The successful candidate is expected to deliver excellent customer service, help customers locate products, and work collaboratively with co-workers to achieve team objectives.
Accurately receiving incoming inventory and ensuring products are stocked appropriately is an important responsibility. This includes verifying deliveries, organizing stock, and maintaining an orderly inventory system to facilitate efficient operations.
Who you are:
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 driver's license and the ability to efficiently execute deliveries.
Class 3 license is preferred but not required.
Previous yard-related experience is an asset.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
You must be willing and able to work weekdays, weekends and after hours if necessary to meet customer needs.
