Cobourg Home Hardware Building Centre

is a state of the art, modern Home Hardware Building Centre with tremendous strength in products such as building materials, home decor, flooring, outdoor living and gardening products. This industry leading operation won Best Building Supply in Canada in 2019 (Hardlines ORA) and Best HHBC over 25,000sq within Home Hardware in 2018.

We are currently seeking a part-time Lumber Yard Associate

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service by providing efficient and accurate loading and unloading of transactions relating to lumbering.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Load and unload materials, taking all safety precautions. Maintain cleanliness in the yard. Assist customers in handling large and heavy items. Restock inventory when stock levels are getting low. Prepare customer orders for delivery. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks. Attend store meetings, training sessions as required. Work on additional duties, special projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays. Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions. Capability to safely lift/move materials weighing up to 100lbs. Must have strong communication skills and be able to understand customer requirements. Strong reading and comprehension of written and printed materials, including information presented in numerical form. Forklift certification and experience is an asset.
