We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, construction, and computer networking, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving CCTV, sensors, telecommunication systems, and IDS. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working with hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain low voltage systems including CCTV, sensors, telecommunication lines, and IDS
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks
Configure and troubleshoot computer hardware related to security systems and network connectivity
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper integration of low voltage systems within building infrastructure
Conduct system testing to verify proper operation of installed equipment
Document work performed and maintain detailed records for service logs and compliance purposes
Adhere to all safety protocols and electrical codes during installation and maintenance activities
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams
Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage wiring standards
Familiarity with CCTV systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication equipment
Experience with computer hardware setup and network configurations related to security systems
Mechanical knowledge for installing equipment in various environments
Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, pliers, as well as power tools like drills and saws
Understanding of construction processes relevant to system installation in commercial or industrial settings
Knowledge of Schematics for troubleshooting complex wiring issues
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse project environments
Safety-conscious attitude with a focus on quality workmanship
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.09-$23.09 per hour
