Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all transportation regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage long hours on the road.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across various distances. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and cargo information as required by law. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transit. Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklifts as necessary. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of safety. Perform basic automotive repairs when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability on the road. Collaborate with team members to optimize routes and improve efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. Experience in freight handling and transportation logistics is a plus. Knowledge of automotive repair principles is advantageous for addressing minor vehicle issues on the road. Forklift operation experience is beneficial for loading and unloading cargo efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
