This position is to be filled for our Home Furniture & Lighting location at 2463 Mountain rd, Moncton NB. The Elmwood Group is looking for a logistics supervisor who brings dedication and skill to a well-established and respected family-owned organization. The right candidate has prior experience with responsibilities for overseeing the shipment and delivery of goods and warehouse personnel. The position also requires knowledge of inventory tracking & maintenance, preferably in the retail industry (or equivalent) with strong computer skills with tracking software & systems. Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for a multi-store retailer.
• Direct and review work plan & flow for assigned staff
• Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions
• Provide assistance in warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to achieve maximum storage efficiency & organization.
• Maintain accurate records and files of inventory usage
• Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned personnel
• Prepare and present staff reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary
• Ensure the proper planning of warehousing and showroom activities in relation to logistics with key departments within the organization.
• Discover new trends and innovations in the fields of warehousing and storage programs.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in supply chain management or related (preferred)
• Exceptional decision making skills
• Prior supervisory role with 1-5 employees is preferred
• Excellent communication skill ( both written and verbal) to effectively negotiate with carriers, suppliers, custom brokers, and customers
• Ability to properly identify measures or indicators of system performance that are relative to the goals of the organization.
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solution.
• Must possess valid driver\'s license; Class 5
• Must possess a forklift operation certificate

This position is to be filled for our Home Furniture & Lighting location at 2463 Mountain rd, Moncton NB. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits:
