Logistics Coordinator \xe2\x80\x93 National (afternoon shift)

As a Logistics Coordinator - National, the successful candidate will be responsible for the after-hours activities surrounding company owned fleet as well as 3rd party delivery of bulk and bagged flour in Ontario. This position will have an on-call component. You may also be asked to provide day shift coverage from time to time.
Your day to day activities will include:

• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations and available inventory.

Manage all aspects of Bulk logistics throughout supply chain in a Just in Time environment such as:

• Scheduling bulk deliveries daily, addressing and resolving shipment and bulk inventory issues and product returns.
• Book loads with 3rd party carriers.
• Releasing railcars
• Deal with after-hours calls for any delivery related issues and changes.
• Arrange truck , trailer and tanker drop offs for repairs, maintenance and washes.
• Collaborate with other internal departments and work within tight deadlines.
• Carry out various administrative components related to freight such as detention charges, BOL\xe2\x80\x99s to invoicing department.
• Work directly with Drivers relating to their concerns.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of legal regulations, Ontario Highway Traffic act and hours of service requirements.
• Experience with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) considered an asset.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and high proficiency in Excel)
• Ability to independently handle multiple projects.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiating and customer service skills.
• Ability to use and navigate Logistics routing software.
