Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Logistics Associate on a temporary basis on our Transportation Systems team.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

Interested in effective and timely transportation of freight within the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS)? In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll maintain system rates and be responsible for routing for all inbound movement of stock product!

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• You will ensure freight rates are correctly loaded into Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and managed shipments are properly released, planned, and secured in OTM daily.
• You will track shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods, follow up with carriers and suppliers as required, and validate shipping documentations such as BOL, PODs, CUSMA etc.
• You will request rate proposals from the carrier industry for freight movement and ensure the use of the most cost-effective method of handling.
• You will work with the regions and commodity department to ensure product movement is handled as expected.
• You will work closely with all carriers to ensure fright contracts and obligations are met and audit all company paid freight invoices making necessary adjustments as required.
• You will maintain the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) program.
• You will ensure the proper classification for TDG items based on SDS documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Team: You will work closely with the Import Operations Associate, and report into the Transportation Systems Specialist. This team strives to cultivate a culture of autonomy, communication, and initiative.

• You have a high school education; preference will be given to those who have complete CITT courses or CCLP designation.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of related freight or dispatch experience.
