POSITION OVERVIEW



The Manager is a proactive and organized leader responsible for the safe and efficient management of swim school operations and programs, pool operations and facility upkeep, and supervision of all swim school staff. The Manager plays a key role in supporting growth, maintaining high performance levels, and fostering a positive work environment.

REPONSIBILITIES



Oversee and manage facility and program operations, ensuring compliance with Seal Swimming's standards and pool regulations. Responsible for leadership of staff members, including; recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for the department. Conduct classes, training and in service training for all staff. Develop, implement, and monitor programming and schedules for swim school operations. Clearly describe and assign responsibility and authority for the operation of the location(s). Ensure all staff certifications are current and all staff training is up to date.. Direct the implementation of organizational policies and procedures. Conduct in-depth analysis, planning, and implementation of utilization data and other inputs. Participates in the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) program and executes duties. Develop detailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that support organizational objectives. Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, using tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collecting accurate information, and resolving conflict. Perform supervisory tasks of a team, including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management. Foster an enthusiastic and positive work environment. Coordinate with the Marketing team for promotional activities, including arranging photography and video shoots. Build and maintain partnerships with facilities, community businesses, and educational institutions. Manage inventory and ensure program and facility supplies are restocked efficiently and cost-effectively. Ensure the safety of swimmers during all supervised activities. Maintain a clean and organized pool facility and comply with all safety regulations. Use safety devices and personal protective equipment appropriately. Report incidents to the Management Team promptly using established reporting procedures. Participate in safety training and audits, assisting with risk assessments and documentation.

Other Duties



Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum 21 years of age 3-5 years of experience in an operations or management role, preferably in an educational or sports environment. Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively. Familiarity with CRMs and scheduling tools is preferred. Experience in customer service and team management. Proficiency with computer software and administrative tools (e.g., Google Workspace, HR software). Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification Vulnerable Sector Check required National Lifeguard certification

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
