We\'re looking for a Localization Project Coordinator to join our Localization team in Toronto. You will help steer the localization of our Help Centers and customer communications as we continue to grow into new markets and continuously improve the self-serve experience for all our customers.

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Work closely with Technical Writers, Localization Project Coordinators and freelance translators to localize the self-serve experience of all our product verticals (Help Centers, release notes, etc.).
  • Ensure quality of received translations with quality assessment checks and relay feedback to the team of freelance translators.
  • Work to improve the process, performance and cost-reduction involved with using our Translation Management software.

  • Incorporate customer feedback from the Support team and Onboarding team in the Customers department to continuously improve the self-serve experience of our customers across all regions.
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead, Localization and Localization Project Coordinators to define and drive the company-wide localization strategy.
What you need to bring:

We\'re a team of 4 people located in Canada and Europe. The Localization team is a close-knit team of dedicated professionals spearheading Lightspeed\'s localization program. You\'ll have the exciting opportunity to shape our localization strategy and chart the course to exceptional multilingual customer experiences.

We\'re looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
  • Minimum of a bachelor\'s degree in Written Communication, Translation or another equivalent field
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills in English and at least one of the following languages: Dutch or German.
  • Experience with translation or translation management for one of the following language pairings: English
Dutch or English

German * Experience with software localization and linguistic validation is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and self-manage priorities.
  • Strong willingness to work in a demanding, fast-paced tech environment.
  • Ability to make decisions based on independent research and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing processes and systems
