Load Control/Scheduler: Schedule is shift work/rotation. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the position entails liaison work with our Airline partners to ensure that the highest standards of services are provided. The candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming calls from customers, distributing the information to the required departments and updating the Airline Orders. This position is also responsible for supporting the Operational team in terms of scheduling appropriate staffing levels based on flight schedules and attendance management. Job Duties: Load Control \xc2\xb7 Prepare and maintain Airline orders in the system. \xc2\xb7 Retrieve updated Passenger Loads information from Customer Web sites, Emails, phone calls and Telex machine. \xc2\xb7 Generate, print and distribute Galley Tags, Galley Tag program and Airline Orders. \xc2\xb7 Input data for meal cart and galley loading based on airline galley loading plans. \xc2\xb7 Input catering load information at designated times throughout the day. \xc2\xb7 Transfer information to various departments. \xc2\xb7 Ensure all billing details are captured and recorded for each flight. \xc2\xb7 Ensure incoming Customer Calls are logged. \xc2\xb7 Answer and disseminate incoming telephone calls from the customer. \xc2\xb7 Provide administrative support functions to both Production team and Operations team as needed. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate meal increases/aircraft changes from customer requirements. \xc2\xb7 Maintaining flight schedules. \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned. Scheduling \xc2\xb7 Preparation of monthly staff shift schedules based on flight schedules. \xc2\xb7 Maintain and update Daily shift schedules, taking calls from employees regarding shift times, absences, etc. \xc2\xb7 Advising permanent and casual employees of their schedules (e.g. regular and overtime) \xc2\xb7 Posting of final schedules after shift and vacation bids \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all company policies are adhered to. \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Required: \xc2\xb7 A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and database systems. \xc2\xb7 Excellent customer service skills. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of English a must. \xc2\xb7 Effective problem solving skills. \xc2\xb7 Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and prioritize due to the time sensitive nature of the position. \xc2\xb7 Detail orientated. \xc2\xb7 Must have excellent interpersonal, communication skills \xc2\xb7 Must be flexible with hours of work and adapt to schedule changes to accommodate operational requirements. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to take direction from supervisory staff. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to adapt to company directives and guidelines. \xc2\xb7 Must have a positive demeanour and be a team player. \xc2\xb7 Previous experience scheduling staff in a food service facility is an asset.
