Lead Load Control - Reports toExecutive ChefSummaryThe position entails liaison work with our Airline and retail partners to ensure that the highest standards of services are provided. The candidate will be responsible for leading the load control team in maintaining and updating the company's Airline and retail order system, flight schedules, coordinate activities and distribute the information to the required departments.. This position is also responsible for supporting both the Production and Operations team in terms of scheduling appropriate staffing levels and attendance management based on load schedules and ordersJob DutiesLoad Control

  • Train load control team and reliever in job duties and company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain Airline and retail orders using company's in-house system.
  • Maintain flight schedules and aircraft loading information.
  • Retrieve updated Passenger Loads information from Customer Web sites, Emails, phone calls and Telex machine.
  • Generate, print and distribute Galley Tags, Galley Tag program and Airline Orders.
  • Input data for meal cart and galley loading based on airline galley loading plans.
Process scheduled retail order and planner for next day production.
  • Coordinate with Production team on meal increases / aircraft changes based on customer requirement and order.
  • Update catering load information at designated times throughout the day.
  • Disseminate relevant information to various departments on Airline and retail production activities and process.
  • Ensure all billing details of customers are captured and recorded for each flight and order.
Provide customer support through telephone calls and emails from the customer. Provide administrative support functions to both Production team and Operations team as needed. Other duties as assigned.Scheduling
  • Preparation of monthly staff shift schedules based on flight and retail schedules.
  • Maintain and update Daily shift schedules, in accordance with employee shift times, sick calls, other absences, etc.
  • Advise permanent and casual employees of their schedules (e.g. regular and overtime)
  • Post final schedules after shift and vacation bids
  • Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Hands on experience using CBASE and SAP application.
  • Ability to work and support database system.
Adept with the latest technology like iPad integration for Production use.
  • Conduct training on system operation and standard office applications.
  • Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of English a must.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and prioritize due to the time sensitive nature of the position.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication skills
  • Must be flexible with hours of work and adapt to schedule changes to accommodate operational requirements.
  • Must be able to take direction from supervisory staff.
  • Must be able to adapt to company directives and guidelines.
  • Must have a positive demeanour and be a team player.
  • Previous experience scheduling staff in a food service facility is an asset.
