Job Description
We are a busy, energetic, and loving family looking for someone patient, flexible, andreliable to join our home. Our son Ayden has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a speech impairment (uses an AAC device), and a wheelchair. You'll also naturally be part of family life with his little brother. Our home is lively, sometimes hectic, but always full of love, laughter, and adventure.

What we need:
-Strong experience with children (essential)- Comfort with cooking & meal prep, including soft/modified meals for Ayden
- Experience with special needs caregiving (CP, epilepsy, AAC, wheelchair) is a strong asset
-Driver's license & safe driving skills
-CPR / First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
-Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
-A caring, patient, flexible personality that blends into family life
Role Highlights:
- Support Ayden's daily routines, therapies, and mobility
- Encourage his communication using an AAC device
- Help with meals for Ayden & simple family meals
- Be present at school bus drop-off and pick-up
- Provide safe transportation for activities and appointments
- Light household management (laundry, tidying, organization)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,848.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Strathcona County, AB T8G 1A6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
Working with persons with disabilities: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
English and French (preferred)
Work Location: In person
