Job Summary (Caregiver - Childcare)

The Caregiver - Childcare will provide attentive and nurturing care to a child in a private household. The role includes ensuring the child's safety, supporting daily routines, preparing meals, and assisting with developmental activities. The caregiver helps maintain a clean and organized home environment and works closely with parents to meet the child's needs and promote healthy growth.

Childcare Duties

Supervise and care for the child in the employer's residence. Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. Support daily routines such as dressing, bathing, hygiene, and naps. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks. Assist with homework, learning activities, and developmental milestones. Observe the child's physical and emotional well-being and report concerns to parents. Provide basic first aid when necessary.
Household Duties (related to childcare)

Maintain cleanliness of areas used by the child (play area, bedroom, feeding areas). Wash, fold, and organize the child's clothing and linens. Clean and sanitize bottles, toys, and commonly touched surfaces. Help with light housekeeping tasks related to the child (tidying, organizing, sweeping, dishwashing).
General Responsibilities

Follow household routines and established schedules. Ensure safety at all times, including during outdoor activities and outings. Accompany the child to appointments, school, or programs as directed. Communicate daily with parents regarding routines, progress, and concerns. Maintain confidentiality and respect the family's privacy.
Job Requirements

Completion of secondary school (required). Ability to speak and understand English. CPR/First Aid certification is an asset. Reliable, patient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
