Job Description

We are seeking a kind, patient, and reliable caregiver to support a bright and engaging 99-year-old woman who enjoys conversation, crafts, and staying mentally stimulated. She requires consistent support with mobility, personal care, daily routines, and medical needs in a calm and structured environment.

The ideal candidate will have community support work experience.

Schedule:

24-hour shifts Sunday to Thursday 7:00am start time

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with walking (using a walker) and transfers; remain nearby for safety Provide meaningful conversation, companionship, and mental engagement Support with personal hygiene, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing, and grooming Prepare and serve nutritious meals Administer medications, including

insulin

, and monitor

blood glucose levels

Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, tidy space Offer emotional reassurance and gentle redirection when needed

OVERNIGHT:

Own bedroom and bathroom Need to be available for one or two interventions (usually for toileting)

Ideal Candidate:

Naturally patient, warm, and a good listener Experienced in elderly care Confident administering insulin and monitoring blood sugar Emotionally aware, steady, and comfortable providing structure and support Capable of cooking and housekeeping First Aid/CPR certified References and background check required

Bonus if You Have:

Registered Care Aid/Medical training Community support experience

(Recreational aide)

Experience with those living with symptoms of dementia

REQUIRED

Interest in crafts or creative activities Familiarity with supporting individuals needing routine and reassurance A driver's license (helpful, not essential) Fully vaccinated for covid-19 (2 doses)
