Job Summary



We are currently seeking a full-time

Litigation Legal Assistant

. Our ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a good sense of humour, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while managing deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities. Litigation assistants report directly to the Human Resources Manager, take direction from two or more lawyers, and may also provide support to other assistants as needed.

The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned projects and demonstrate strong time management and communication skills. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence and legal documents using firm-approved precedents or from dictation, handwritten, or other notes. File maintenance is a key part of the role and may involve daily filing, file organization, opening and closing files, maintaining client file lists, and tracking limitations, follow-up dates, and general file activity. Additional duties include handling incoming and outgoing mail, responding to client inquiries, and performing general administrative tasks such as time entry and bill preparation.

Candidates should have a minimum of one to two years of related experience and a diploma or certificate from a recognized legal assistant program, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience with NetDocs, Soluno, Intapp, and ACL would be considered an asset.
