JOB DESCRIPTION \xe2\x80\x93LITIGATION LAWYER We are a commercial litigation boutique seeking a skilled and experienced litigation lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in corporate/commercial litigation and will work in a fast-paced environment while working on sophisticated and challenging matters. You must have strong analytical and drafting skills and a demonstrated ability to assume carriage of files and resolve issues independently. A team player attitude, superior work ethic, attention to detail, and relationship building are essential to succeed in this role. Key Responsibilities: 1. Represent clients in civil litigation matters at all levels of court including the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal 2. Conduct legal research, review, analyze, and draft a wide range of legal documents 3. Manage and oversee all aspects of a file from inception to trial preparation and representation 4. Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel 5. Assist in handling ongoing litigations, arbitrations, mediations, and discoveries 6. Provide support on legal matters of varying complexity 7. General overall support to the legal team Qualifications: 1. Licensed Ontario Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years (required) corporate/commercial litigation experience 2. Comprehensive knowledge of complex Commercial Litigation 3. Must possess excellent writing, research, and advocacy skills 4. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment to prioritize client matters, and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent The role allows for a flexible work schedule, with the option of working from home.
