Be the Spark
Do you want your talent to have a positive impact on the people you work with? Are you seeking new ways to maximize and develop your expertise? Do you want to work in an environment where people come first? We have an opportunity for you, because here, you can be the spark.
Every day, more than 1,200 people work with the YMCAs of Quebec network, providing a variety of services that create positive change in people's lives.
Camp YMCA Kanawana is Quebec's oldest residential summer camp. We are looking to marry our tradition of YMCA value-based camping with leading edge programming while being Quebec's environmental education leader.
Staff live on site for the duration of the summer, which starts in mid-June and finishes at the end of August. Salaries include food, lodging and transportation to and from camp.
The LIT Directors are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the Leadership Program at Camp YMCA Kanawana. The Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program is designed to develop the leadership and communication skills of the participants, all the while teaching them how to care for children. The LIT Directors are responsible for organizing workshops, informative sessions, and planning the cabin/tent group placements of the participants. LIT Directors are also responsible for providing the participants with consistent feedback and two formal written evaluations throughout the summer. The LIT Section Director will be supervising the 3 LIT Directors.
