ABOUT LIQUOR & CANNABIS
The Liquor & Cannabis Division supports progressive developments in both industries while building strong relationships with stakeholders and collecting revenue for the General Revenue Fund. It is responsible for managing both product supply chains in Alberta via both external warehousing solutions and a third party logistics partner. The liquor industry is also supported through Liquor Program Services and Liquor Planning & Reporting Services. The cannabis industry is supported by the Operations branch as well as the Product & Stakeholder Management area.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Liquor Planning and Reporting, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and accounting support services to the Liquor Planning and Reporting unit. The incumbent is also responsible for budget preparation and forecasting as well as program support.

Primary responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasting, tracking payments, assisting with the on boarding & set-up process/maintenance of the Class E Liquor Manufactures and providing support for the Airline Mark-up and Liquor Sample Program as well as managing the Liquor Services\' inbox.

To be successful in this position, you will require exceptional customer service skills as well strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail is a must in this position as you will be tracking and preparing budget information. Strong organizational & time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines is required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong judgement and problem-solving skills as this will be leaned upon in this position. As well, the position requires strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Grade 12 supplement with post-secondary accounting courses and a minimum of three years related experience.
  • An Accounting Diploma/Certificate is an asset.
  • ARTS knowledge is an asset
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook, as well as JD Edwards.
