Linux Infrastructure Administrator - Permanent position in Burnaby:
On behalf of our client based in Burnaby, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Administrator to join our client\xe2\x80\x99s IT team on a permanent basis.

Role Description:
Our established client is looking for a Linux Infrastructure Administrator/Engineer to join their IT team. This team is in charge of Linux-centric infrastructure management and does user support a chunk of their day plus "rip & replace" activities transitioning legacy systems to modern ones. As the Linux Infrastructure Administrator/Engineer would be using your advanced Linux network, storage, and virtualization skillset to assist in these aims.

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of experience with Linux network, storage, and virtualization
• 5 or more years of experience with end-user support
• Demonstrated experience with most of the following tech stack:

Exp w/ infrastructure tech stack:

• oVirt Virtualization Management in a high availability cluster with GlusterFS
• Advanced Linux storage and RAID administration and troubleshooting with mdadm and LVM
• KVM Hypervisor
• FreeIPA \xe2\x80\x93 LDAP, Certificate Authorities, etc.
• Foreman / Puppet
• Corporate IP services (DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Certificates, etc.)

Adv Linux Networking tech stack:

• VLANs, Subnetting
• Firewall \xe2\x80\x93 Linux firewalls running ShoreWall
• StrongsWAN IPSec tunnels
• OpenVPN
• Proxy Servers
• Linux Flavors include: CentOS, RHEL, OEL, and Ubuntu

Nice-to-have:

• Demonstrated experience with most of the following tech stack:
  • Cisco and HPE Switch Management
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure admin exp
  • MySQL / MariaDB DBA Management including replication, high availability
  • Office365 / Azure AD Basic Admin
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and proactively
• Master of Engineering degree, specializing in large-scale Communication Systems, would be considered an asset
