PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The incumbent is responsible for designing the collections and style geo-metrics for future collections in the categories for which he/she is responsible. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that the ideas and concepts developed by the purchasing and design teams are illustrated on the presentation boards. The person in charge will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to the import department.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Draw collections and technical specifications of garments for imports on Illustrator;
  • Participate in the creation and development of new styles and themes;
  • Create 3D geometrics for overseas production;
  • Research trends in its category, participate in the evolution of its category and provide technical support for imports;
  • Produce presentation charts for the purchasing department;
  • Support the technical design and adjustment department;
  • Provide explanatory illustrations of corrections to be sent to suppliers for more technical corrections;
  • Participate in the approvals of color proofs (Lab dip) as well as prints;
  • Attend fitting sessions as required;
  • Ensure that the colors of the raw materials are consistent with the original colors of the season. Participate in various special projects of the department;
REQUIREMENTS
  • College diploma in fashion or equivalent;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in lingerie (sleepwear and swimwear asset);
  • Ability to create different prints, patterns, characters/animals, signs;
  • Excellent knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • Creativity, originality and curiosity
  • Meticulous, organization skills and autonomy;
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;
  • Ability to create successful commercial lines.
