Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and kitchen operations, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, preparing ingredients and assisting in meal preparation for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and portion ingredients accurately and consistently, following company standards Monitor food temperatures, report anomalies, and adhere to food safety protocolsLearn and apply a variety of culinary techniques under the guidance of senior team members Stock and restock workstations in an organized and efficient mannerEnsure the consistent quality and presentation of all food items leaving the kitchen Wash, sanitize, and maintain clean workstations, equipment, and utensils Sort waste responsibly and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen Assist with inventory checks and help receive and organize deliveries

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to multitasking & maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must have a passion for cooking and providing excellent service in the food industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.95-$26.95 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
