Position Title: Line MechanicPosition Type: Temporary - Full-Time xe2x80x8bPosition Location: Grand FallsRequisition ID: 33313Department: Main Plant - MechanicalReports to: Maintenance SupervisorPurpose: This posting is to cover the replacement of Line Mechanic during absence for vacations and/or leaves.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training requirements.

• Must be on the Maintenance Helper pool.
• The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible of providing safety, GMP, HACCP, environmental, equipment, software, or any other required training, as needed.
• Training will be given on the job.
• Must be mechanically inclined.

Safety requirements:

• Attend Safety Talks
• Follow Lockout / Tag-Out procedures and all McCain Safety Policies
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Work safe and promote a safe working environment to fellow employees
• Complete Job Safety Plans / Recognize safety hazards and correct them

Job responsibilities:

• Carry out duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Complete scheduled work and Preventive Maintenance (PM) work
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems
• Use the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Technically Complete (TECO) work orders and enter confirmation comments in SAP.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and create Notifications in SAP to have issues addressed.
• Create Emergency or Reactive work orders to complete unplanned jobs.
• Maintain shop and follow good housekeeping practices (5S)
• Complete Hot Works Permits, Job Safety Plans and other
• Follow McCain maintenance, HACCP and Environmental programs such as xe2x80x9cTemporary Repairsxe2x80x9d, xe2x80x9cSanitation after Maintenancexe2x80x9d, Waste Management and Recycling (Waste Oil Disposal), etc.
• Must be able and willing to work 5 days a week on a set schedule and to additionally help break vacations for people on shift on a 4-day rotation (2 days xe2x80x93 2 nights, 4 days off). Must be flexible with their schedule.
• Must be able and willing to come in on days off during Sanitation days and Shutdowns
