Maintenance Mechanic (paint Line) Days

Job Description


Job Duties:

  • Perform a \xe2\x80\x9cwalk\xe2\x80\x9d upon arrival. Ensure that all equipment is functioning as required.
  • Equipment/modifications and/or process improvement to include but not limited to the paint line.
  • Minor electrical troubleshooting including, but not limited to, motors and fuses.
  • Abide by OHSA regulations and Teknion policy and procedures pertaining to Lock Out/Tag Out, completing work orders, etc and advising management of actions taken.
  • Maintain stock of spares for critical assets as well as commonly used parts.
  • Operate and monitor paint line machinery to ensure efficient and smooth operation
  • Check and maintain the paint line equipment, troubleshoot and repair issues as needed
  • Ensure that the work area is clean and organized before, during and after each shift
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Keep accurate records of production and quality control measures
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and targets
Skills required:
  • Basic Programmable Logic Controller knowledge would be an asset.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience operating machinery and/or equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defects in products
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Industrial Mechanic diploma or comparable.
  • Basic electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code, OHSA, TSSA and WHMIS
  • Ability to operate manual and power hand tools including levels, compressors, drills, sanders, etc.
  • Ability to read tape measure, feeler gage, callipers and other measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing Paint Line processes
  • Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude and positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills, works well with others and is able to work with little or no supervision. Works well under pressure and is able to multitask.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic applications and able to troubleshoot.
  • Experience with Hot Work regulations.
