Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Purpose; to ensure the proper operation of Line Equipment, from Potato Receiving to Palletizing as well as building maintenance.

Knowladge, Skills, Abilities and Training requirements.

• Must be a licensed Industrial Mechanic or enrolled in the Industrial Mechanic apprenticeship program.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible of providing safety, GMP, HACCP, environmental, equipment, software, or any other required training, as needed

Safety requirements:

• Attend Safety Talks
• Follow Lockout / Tag-Out procedures and all McCain Safety Policies
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Work safe and promote a safe working environment to fellow employees
• Complete Job Safety Plans / Recognize safety hazards and correct them

Job responsibilities:

• Carry out duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Planner/Scheduler
• Complete scheduled work and Preventive Maintenance (PM) work
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems
• Use the computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for processing work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Technically Complete (TECO) work orders and enter confirmation comments in SAP.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and create Notifications in SAP to have issues addressed.
• Create Emergency or Reactive work orders to complete unplanned jobs.
• Maintain shop and follow good housekeeping practices (5S)
• Complete Hot Works Permits
• Follow McCain maintenance, HACCP and Environmental programs such as \xe2\x80\x9cTemporary Repairs\xe2\x80\x9d, \xe2\x80\x9cSanitation after Maintenance\xe2\x80\x9d, Waste Management and Recycling (Waste Oil Disposal), etc.
• Must be able and willing to perform shift work: 2 days / 2 nights and 4-off schedule, 12 hour shifts
• Must be able and willing to come in on days off during Sanitation days and Shutdowns

NOTE:

This description constitutes the minimum requirements for a Shift Mechanic. Other duties may be assigned at management\'s discretion.
