Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Lead/Lead Hand to oversee daily operations within our garment manufacturing facility in Etobicoke, ON. The ideal candidate will play a crucial leadership role in supervising production activities, ensuring workflow efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. This hands-on position requires strong mechanical knowledge, familiarity with safety and quality protocols, and the ability to effectively coordinate team efforts in a fast-paced environment. The Line Lead/Lead Hand will also support training, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to help the team meet production goals with consistent quality and safety

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the production line team to meet daily targets while maintaining quality standards Monitor production workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and output Participate in hands-on production tasks to support the team as needed Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies throughout operations Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors to support smooth workflow Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and guidance to production staff Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity Conduct regular inspections to uphold workplace safety and quality standards Maintain accurate production records and document any incidents or deviations Assist with troubleshooting and coordinating repairs for mechanical or process issues

Qualifications



Proven experience in manufacturing or textile/garment environments, with a focus on supervising production teams. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with excellent communication abilities Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and quality control standards. Mechanical aptitude related to machinery used in textile or garment production, with experience in troubleshooting equipment issues. Familiarity with safety protocols, sanitation, and industry standards for quality and safety compliance Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections Flexibility to work morning and afternoon shifts as required. Ability to train and guide team members, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflows, improve processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
