Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation and ensure food is ready for service in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work environment.
Experience
Previous experience in meal preparation or as a cook in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
