Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
Assist in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
Support kitchen operations by handling food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and ingredient assembly
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and exceptional service delivery
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness of ingredients
Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or quality issues
Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing feedback on dish execution and customer preferences
Uphold all health regulations and safety standards consistently throughout your shift
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and efficiently
Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Experience working in fine dining settings or catering environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
Ability to adapt quickly, multitask efficiently, and maintain attention to detail during peak hours
