'Juniper Food + Wine' is looking for a Skilled Cook with at least 2 years experience in casual/fine dining restaurants.
This position requires a motivated individual with a strong culinary foundation.
Must have a good understanding of technique, menu planning, menu costing and clean + efficient work practices. Butchery, saucier, pastry and line cooking experiences are an asset for this position, but we are looking for the right person for long-term employment and so would be very happy to mentor/guide you in your culinary career.
We have a small but dedicated team that grows some of our own produce and sources from only the best local suppliers in Nova Scotia. Job Duties:
Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
