Job Description

The Line Cook is responsible for food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring meals are prepared according to guidelines and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities



The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Prepare food items daily, following recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications. Set up stations per guidelines, clean as you go, and maintain an organized and sanitary work environment. Use kitchen equipment properly and safely, maintaining knowledge of equipment operation. Restock food and supplies throughout the shift to ensure continuous service. Assist in cleaning kitchen areas, including walk-in coolers and storage, and execute a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule. Work at a consistent pace, ensure timely meal preparation, and adjust to changing needs throughout the shift. Ensure food is served at the correct portion size, temperature, and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements



Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required. Demonstrate knowledge of food quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required. Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required. Effective communication skills. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. Highly effective teamwork skills. The ability to read and follow cheat sheets Attention to detail in all areas of work. Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
