We are seeking a skilled and self motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant/bar environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence and food safety. Closing Availability will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and cooking stations.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients.
Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to comply with health regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment.
Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service setting.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
Ability to work independently and self manage.
Excellent time management.
Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
Familiarity with food handling procedures within the food industry.
