We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
Must have Food Handlers certification, from a Canadian institute.
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food handling, food preparation, and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
