We are seeking a skilled and efficient Line Cook to join our culinary team in Waterville, Canada. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
Adhere to all food industry regulations and guidelines
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and ovens
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
1-2 years of previous fast-paced line cook experience required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Excellent communication and organizational skills
In-depth knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Manual dexterity to use knives and kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with kitchen staff
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
