We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our small culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced cafe kitchen environment. Our menu focuses on Korean fusion dishes, with hearty rice bowls and sandwiches. Candidates should possess a passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist in the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock levels
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Support the serving staff by providing timely and quality food delivery during service periods
Experience
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a cafe or kitchen environment
Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
Experience working in busy kitchens with high-volume meal preparation is desirable
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, and presentation styles
Previous experience in customer-facing roles such as serving or front-of-house is advantageous but not essential
