Job Description
Steamworks Brewpub is looking for people to join our Kitchen team. We are currently hiring Line Cooks for our busy restaurant location in Gastown for 3-5 shifts per week. This position is hands-on with opportunities for the successful candidates to learn and expand their skill set. 2 years previous experience working in a busy fast paced restaurant is required, and candidates must be available for shift times between 9am-5pm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare food for restaurant guests Cook menu items to spec Perform inventory checks Ensure recipe ingredients are checked for quality on a consistent basis Help develop new menu items Ensure kitchen is held to the highest health and sanitation standards at all times Continually look and recommend ways to improve processes, procedures, and reduce coasts
Performance Expectations:
Strong organizational skills Able to work well in a team environment Recognize when help is needed and not be afraid to ask for help Positive and eager to learn Possess a great attitude Professionalism in all interactions with guests, staff, and co-workers
Experience Required:
Several years experience in a high volume kitchen
