Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
Follow proper food safety procedures during meal preparation and service
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food safety standards
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary terminology
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
