Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods and special events like catering functions
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
Plate dishes attractively for presentation in both casual and fine dining settings
Collaborate with team members to meet service deadlines while maintaining high standards
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and food safety protocols
Experience with catering services or serving in a fine dining setting is advantageous
Proficiency in knife skills and general kitchen experience required
Background in the food industry with culinary training or certifications is beneficial
