Paradise Entertainment Corporation ("Paradise") is responsible for the management of multi-concepts located at 1006-1014 Bloor Street West in Toronto, Ontario.
Connected to Paradise Theatre are the following food and beverage concepts: a high-end restaurant, a private dining room, a cocktail bar, and wine bottle shop and cafe concept. With the potential for corporate bookings, banquet and event catering will complete the multiple offerings created in the Paradise space.

Under the direction of the management team consisting of the Head Chef and the Sous Chef. As a part of the Paradise restaurant team, the fundamental duties of the Line Cook include responsibility for food preparation, production of restaurant menu items for service and Grab and Go items. Responsibilities for Line Cook
Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes with direction and instruction
Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
Set up and clean station according to restaurant protocol
Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the sous-chef, chef de cuisine
Qualifications for Line Cook
1-3 years of experience cooking in a service provided environment, and or catering
Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
Ability to read and follow cooking directions
Ability to taste all items is an asset
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Must be organized and self-motivated
Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
Must be able to understand weights and measures and be able to do simple calculations related to recipes and service.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
Must be able to provide proof of vaccination with QR code.
Able to take initiative, learn quickly and adapt to changing demands
Required to work a variety of weekday and weekend shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
