Overview

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that all meals are prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and taste. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring out portions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and storage areas. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant is a must. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety practices within the food industry. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen. Experience with meal preparation and serving is highly desirable.
