Line Cook
Job Description
Drom Taberna is an Eastern European live music venue, restaurant & bar in the heart of downtown Toronto.
We are looking for a line cook with at least 1 year experience as a line cook. We are a very high volumed restaurant & we need someone who is quick learner and self sufficient, but of course menu training will be provided.
Food Handling and Health & Safety training, an asset
Skilled in various cooking methods; grilling, frying, sauteing
Proficient in other culinary skills such as chopping, preparing mise en place, etc.
Strong knife skills and workable knowledge of kitchen equipment
Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions
Energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook
Able to follow oral and written instructions.
Excellent team player; camaraderie with all team members, BOH and FOH.
Must have a flexible schedule, shifts will include weekends.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed during food handling and preparation. Assist in meal preparation and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
