Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen environment and a strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and handling practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the standards of our Cafe.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook Spanish Tapa items according to recipes and quality standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service operations. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for reordering. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook in a Spanish or latin restaurant. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling, and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing excellent customer service. A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
