Line Cook & Culinary Team Member

$21-$23/hr + gratuities | Part or Full-time | Qualicum Beach

We are evolving beyond our former French bakery focus into a vibrant cafe experience with expanded hours, fresh energy and a renewed commitment to exceptional food and hospitality. As a Line Cook & Culinary Team Member, you will play an important role in preparing high-quality dishes and supporting our Head Chef & Culinary Lead in shaping a memorable food experience for our guests.

Your Role in the Kitchen

Prepare breakfast, brunch and lunch menu items with care and attention to detail Support the Head Chef with prep, line setup and smooth kitchen flow during service Ensure every dish meets our standards for quality, consistency and presentation Follow recipes, portion guidelines and kitchen procedures Keep your station organized, stocked and clean at all times Assist with receiving and storing ingredients and supplies Maintain a clean, safe and compliant workspace according to food safety standards Collaborate closely with the front-of-house teams and management to create an efficient and positive work environment

Our Hours

Tuesday to Saturday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Sunday Brunch (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) Morning and weekend availability required

What You Bring

Previous experience as a Line Cook in a cafe or restaurant setting Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail Ability to stay focused and calm under pressure Team-focused attitude and willingness to learn Food Safe Level 1 (or willingness to obtain immediately) Enthusiasm for working with quality ingredients and creating fresh, approachable dishes
