Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality meal presentation

Skills

Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on cooking and meal preparation Strong culinary skills with knowledge of fine dining techniques Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus Proficiency in food handling practices and food safety regulations Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Prior restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, especially in catering settings Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment
