Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Follow food safety guidelines to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
• Maintain a clean workstation by following sanitation protocols throughout the shift.
• Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
Experience
• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the food industry is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to effectively work within a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation.
