Responsibilities



Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations. Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients. Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality. Participate in food preparation activities such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, knife skills, and equipment operation. Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues. Assist with catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring seamless meal service.

Requirements



Proven experience in food preparation or as a line cook in a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices. Experience with menu planning and executing fine dining dishes is highly desirable. Demonstrated culinary skills including knife proficiency and meal preparation techniques. Background in the food industry or restaurant experience that showcases your ability to thrive under pressure. Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Pay: $17.20-$27.48 per hour
