We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all patrons
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and meal presentation
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
