Position: Cook

We're seeking a skilled

Cook

to prepare delicious dishes that delight our guests with exceptional flavour and timely service. The ideal candidate can confidently follow recipes, move efficiently in a busy kitchen, and work seamlessly as part of a team. Experience with a wide range of ingredients and cooking techniques is a must. Our goal is to maintain and elevate our reputation as one of Ottawa's most beloved restaurants.

Responsibilities:

Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment Prepare ingredients (chopping, peeling, cutting, etc.) Cook dishes using a variety of utensils and methods (grilling, sauteing, frying, etc.) Monitor food during preparation, stirring and turning as needed Ensure beautiful plating and presentation of each dish Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen Properly store all food and ingredients Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cook Proficiency with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware Knowledge of multiple cooking methods and techniques Strong understanding of sanitation and food safety procedures Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment Excellent communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
